<<<Now if a rumor is pumped thru newsletters and spammed all over cyberspace, it might be wise to sell ANYTHING when the news hits. >>>

Surely I can agree with this statement... especially if the company is non-reporting. It seems that often the news is leaked with such companies. To further refine my theory of not buying the news on OTC stocks, I would definitely hold back if the stock ran up previously before the favorable PR.

My guess is that there are certain people reading this thread who are now riding 'free' PLCO shares. They have not sold them all because they like the company's potential... but it would be foolish not to protect the profits that have been presented.

Ask yourself why did I initiate a position trade in PLCO? Obviously because you thought its share price would appreciate (which it did). On Wednesday many were faced with the decision of letting it all ride even further (in anticipation of future PRs), or protecting profits by selling off portions of their positions as expected events unfold.

Now I never had a position in PLCO because I was at class when you were first reminded of its existence, and so I refused to chase it (although I would've still made money had I done so). It's reasonable to assume that if I had a swing position in PLCO I would've sold a portion of my holdings on Wednesday (like many others did I'm sure).

For these reasons, I don't buy the news... just too much risk for me. However, with the first awaited PLCO news now three days in the past, it is getting increasingly attractive.
