Janice, As long as you're bringing up the topic of individual idiocy, here's one (IMHO). He's not a thread moron, in fact he seems like a nice guy. However, after reading his first four or five posts, the words moron and sheep keep popping into my head. Notice that it's not Moron with a capital "M" (just sheep with a capital ‘S'). The stocks involved are immaterial. Everyone should make their own decision with regard to these BB stocks (Note: If you hold the same opinion of these stock as I do, it's funnier). On February 11, I noticed the following message on the SI FNTN thread.Seriously thinking about buying this stock. Does anyone have any predictions of future value based on valid information? Any reasons why I should not buy it? #reply-7775489 In a few minutes he receives two responses providing info on the company. He's also cautioned to do his own DD. Thirty minutes later he posts:I'm in. Go FNTN. #reply-7776542 A couple of posters question his quick decision, so he replies.DD? Sounds ridiculous, but I don't have the time. I am getting ready to pull the plug on 35 years of government service and go into teaching. I am working on an advanced degree so that I can teach at our local college, trying to keep our son headed in the right direction at San Diego State, helping my wife finish up her degree requirements and spending a lot of time praying for the Cubs. Wish I had time for DD. I screw around with speculative stocks on instinct and impulsiveness. Win some, lose some. I won't contribute much in the way of valued information, mostly personal opinions. Go FNTN. #reply-7778788 On February 12, exactly 24 hours later, he's getting antsy .Any news coming down the pike? I am not getting a warm fuzzy about this stock. The latest news, albeit, not earth shattering, should have had a much more positive effect than it did. Is there anything coming out that will jump start it? It could be that its lackluster performance today is in sympathy with the rest of the market. #reply-7799531 February 16, he's starting to actively provide stock pick information to several threads. OT. Check out news on ARET today. Still under a penny. Going online for mortgages, etc. Mainly serves Native American community. With money coming in from casinos, I would think it is a decent play. I already have some of it, and thinking of buying some more. I almost hate to alert you to it for fear of being called a hypster, pumper/dumper, but that is not my game. I only mention it because I think you could make money on it. #reply-7850372 An interested poster asks about the number of share outstanding. A search of SEC filings for ARET indicates 380,102,031 share outstanding on September 30. 1998. Here is the response: I know it sounds stupid, but I have no idea. I never do DD. I bought it because I like to go to Indian casinos and one of the people that works there told me about it. #reply-7850738 February 17, six days after purchasing FNTN he's getting antsy again. Anyone know why it is headed down? Is there any news forthcoming? #reply-7875340 February 18, there's no doubt that he is not a long term investor. Has anyone had any recent contact with the company? Is there any news forthcoming? #reply-7891415Right now, Tammy Wynette has more life than FNTN. #reply-7891559 March 2, would you take this person's advice? Well here it is, it appeared on 4 threads.OT. ARET is SUPPOSED (and I emphasize, SUPPOSED) to come out with good earnings news this week. Might be worth a play. I am not a pumper/dumper. I know everyone is always trying to make a buck and just putting this up for speculation. #reply-8109736 An hour later, oops, sorry about that:What an idiot I am. It is WOOD, not ARET, that is coming out with earnings. #reply-8109910 March 3, on the WOOD thread: Oh well, so much for that bounce. It appears it will take a lot more positive news to jump start this stock. How about the rest of you? #reply-8130746 March 4, he's out of WOOD. Best of luck to all. Sold WOOD and bought MPTV. #reply-8150007 My friend has been a member of SI since January 13, 1999. How long before he runs out of play money, any guesses? Tom
