Janice, As long as you're bringing up the topic of individual idiocy, here's one (IMHO). He's not a thread moron, in fact he seems like a nice guy. However, after reading his first four or five posts, the words moron and sheep keep popping into my head. Notice that it's not Moron with a capital "M" (just sheep with a capital ‘S'). The stocks involved are immaterial. Everyone should make their own decision with regard to these BB stocks (Note: If you hold the same opinion of these stock as I do, it's funnier). On February 11, I noticed the following message on the SI FNTN thread. Seriously thinking about buying this stock. Does anyone have any predictions of future value based on valid information? Any reasons why I should not buy it? #reply-7775489 In a few minutes he receives two responses providing info on the company. He's also cautioned to do his own DD. Thirty minutes later he posts: I'm in. Go FNTN. #reply-7776542 A couple of posters question his quick decision, so he replies. DD? Sounds ridiculous, but I don't have the time. I am getting ready to pull the plug on 35 years of government service and go into teaching. I am working on an advanced degree so that I can teach at our local college, trying to keep our son headed in the right direction at San Diego State, helping my wife finish up her degree requirements and spending a lot of time praying for the Cubs. Wish I had time for DD. I screw around with speculative stocks on instinct and impulsiveness. Win some, lose some. I won't contribute much in the way of valued information, mostly personal opinions. The latest news, albeit, not earth shattering, should have had a much more positive effect than it did. Is there anything coming out that will jump start it? Hi Janice, I have a nomination for the Individual Idiocy category: Message 8177370 This guy says he became interested after a cancelled contract which he knew nothing about and a price drop, then put 5% of his money in the stock, and now wants to do research on it! And he has a "modest following of investors"! I'm not one of them.
