Sorry TD - I disagree with your first point and the second point actually proves one of mine.

GE could be a VERY big and profitable business for PMCS. This is not some little flier business they are doing on the side. They have beaten established players to the mkt with an improved product - GE ports will be HUGE in future years - and PMCS expects to be there. That said, they are obviously investing considerable sums of money into their core business to extend their lead even further.

My statement on Intel made it clear INTC would bring little to PMC. On the other hand, you are correct, PMC would bring TONS to INTC. Intel, LU ,NT etc. have all tried their hands in various parts of the networking WAN chip mkt - all their muscle and money have produced rather paltry results. In this game, its telco/data experience, IP and relationships. PMC has all three. INTC has none.
