Tony, I think the short position on the stock went from 45 million to 7 million between the middle of last year and February. BUT anything can happen, of course.

Strictly speaking, MU bounced off support around 52 and is moving back toward it's moving average at the center of a downtrend channel.

I would expect it to move to around 65 and stall out ahead of earnings. If earnings and prospects prove satisfactory, MU would probably move back to the mid-70s, roughly 2 standard deviations above its 20 moving average. If not, I would expect it to try the low 50s again.

You commented that Also one can tell that there is a lot of shorts in this stock just by counting the people on this forum wanting the stock to go down.
The bearishness of this thread contributed to my decision to buy March 60 calls over the last few days, probably not the most scientific approach to trading but occasionally useful.
