Sun Tzu, excellent analysis of the "out flow" of mutual funds. I fit that description to a "t". I'm fed up with 20th century Vista, Warburg Pincus Emerging Growth and Babson Value. I went from having all my money in these funds to investing in AMAT, CSCO and WLA.
I've noticed I am following the heard of individual investors, who are glued to the t.v. (CNBC) and looking at mostly large-cap tech stocks. If the big boys start to tank I hope the small time individual investor don't jump out of these stocks like they have with their mutual funds. My guess is that if the market corrects (I mean really corrects) the analysts and investment guru's on CNBC will say the sky is falling and start bailing out. I just hope us smaller investors won't run with the pack. Anyways, I plan on staying long AMAT no matter what happens. Tom
