What does this statement mean?

The agreement also provides @Home Network an option to acquire a 19.9% interest in Excite which becomes exercisable under certain customary circumstances.

Might "certain customary circumstances" be those in which the merger falls through? Otherwise, ATHM gets all the XCIT shares anyway.

I spoke to Investor Relations today. The merger is now expected to close between the end of April and mid-May. Shareholder vote should be in the second half of April. No specific dates have been set.

Hurry-up and wait.
