Seems like a choice of gambling to me. If CMGI announces a 3-1 split that could easily propel the stock up quickly. On the other hand, if it waits to announce a split it seems like there could be a lot of downside short term. Long term, it will continue to crush so the main thing you need to commit to is just buying the stock.

Judy, CMGI has expected earnings -22c, while it will come with 63-68c positive earnings, split at this price and with preauthorized shares available, is a no brainer ,most probably 2/1,but 3/1 is not out of question......And yes, 155 3/8 is all times high,so it is resistance, but with all of the above + 3 IPO,s in the wings stock most probably will take out 155-156, so you either take your chance now, or buy immediately after breakout, which is just the matter of short time.Good luck, Magnifique

Best time to buy company is in panic stage. It is currently clearly now in euphoric stage. Earnings will be positive - but from sale of portion of LCOS holdings, not from operation standpoint.

Depends if you're looking to trade or invest in cmgi.

Investors have phased into cmgi whenever it tanked while traders enjoyed the volatility according to their technical indicators.

Technically cmgi has been forming an ascending triangle since early January with breakout at 120-122, triggered by their presentation at the recent internet conference. 156 is resistance, once that level is hit intraday, I'd expect momentum traders to plow onto the stock. My calls await the mo-mo and hopefully a new upleg sustained by developing events as posted on this thread.

My investment shares are on the backburner, and not for trading.
