I don't think the perception is that the 1st Q of '99 will be all that great. However, I do think that the last two Q's of '99 look real good. I think this coming Christmas season will see an explosion of "small electronics", namely palm computers, digital cameras, digital phones and MP3 players, all of which will make use of flash memory technology on sale (or licensed) by Sandisk. I think this is where the perception is IMO.

Compared to many of the hyped up tech companies, the stock price is conservative. I think a lot of media attention will come to this company one day and we'll have to deal with a little excitement. For now I feel comfortable with this investment as the current prices leaves a lot of room for improvement. I think the long term down side risk is low at this time when you realize that we are at the beginning of the implementation fo flash memory in the marketplace.

I guess I'm a little excited tonight. We popped up 2 5/8!

Orion:

Thanks for the kudos, but I wasn't that brave. My entry into SNDK was at $10, then $12, then $24. I held and still hold them all, watched $40 come, watched $5 come, and averaged down a few times during the rough tumble. I still have never sold, and don't feel ready now. Greed? I don't think so. As posted earlier today, $30 feels one hell of a lot better this time than last.

SNDK doesn't have to have a blow out first quarter to continue the up trend. All they have to do is show a sequential rise form 4th qt 98 to 1st qt 99, when the norm is for the 1st qt to be way down from the xmas qt. Considering this, any kind of rise is a blow out quarter, and Mr. conservative Eli H has said we will do it. With his track record for predictions, it is almost a foregone conclusion that SNDK will make their numbers. If they surprise high, we will see a new record high above $40, IMHO.
