Larry, slow down, the best one would still be an order of magnitude lower energy density than gasoline, if you believe 500whr/liter, of course. Got to keep you in the numbers here. <VBG>

Larry,

It's a Valence battery in the recently-launched Mars probe, I believe.
Perhaps you could do a little work other than checking S-3 filings and call around Alliant Tech, which I understand is one of the subcontractors on the project. Others have done that - and "heard" that indeed batteries on the probe were Valence batteries...
