While the recovery in the industry will be slow and painful, once EPS bottoms, investors will flock to these stocks big time and the PE ratio on the drillers will zoom from 8 to 16. This is part of the speculation associated with buying these stocks now as opposed to waiting for a bottom to become apparent, whenever that happens.
