Thanks for your comment and for your signposts.
There is a scholarly report in this week's
Economist which suggests that $5 oil is a distinct
possibility. This KWE kind of situation seems to be
the only safe way at the moment to tread on this
devastated patch.

Just as a follow up, I read this morning an excerpt from the Kaiser Bottom-Fishing Report Digest.

It features Keywest which it regards as a 'cash rich shell' concluding with:

"I don't expect Keywest to be a huge winner in 1999 but I do expect the stock to develop an uptrend that will take it substantially higher over the next few years".

Somewhat restrained, guarded even, but it's nice to see one's hunches being echoed!
