agree as always with your comments...my take on the analyst article appeared to be the ultimate abandonment of wintel technology by dell...my disagreement was on the spin i perceived...agree with choices and different flavors...but believe the dominate forces for the masses will still be intc and msft....ibm has failed to break this cartel even with their tremendous technological wealth...i don't believe dell goal to market ibm technology as many analysts think...it would only upset the market, and dell would be bogged down as ibm has been in trying to establish new standards...but to further market their ability to bring the best product in the quickest time regardless of internal components with the path of least resistance......i see the box builders going the way of the auto industry...consolidation..taking advantage of suppliers r+d strength....dell has pulled a real coup...even if it is only a perception at this time...it is giving the analysts a new never before concept to think about...but it is the natural progression of dell's goals...minimize overhead, increase efficiency, provide cutting edge technology at anothers expense...brilliant.... cheers..ed a.

p.s. how's the chandelier hanging....or not hanging?
