I am reiterating my previous idea for the boys/girls in the
Marketing team in Roy.

Put together and get out a huge print ad campaign telling everyone
who doesn't already have a Zip or Jaz drive to run out and buy one.
Don't wait till the last minute and get shut out.
They need to instill fear into every computer owner that they need
to backup everything well before the end of 1999. There is huge
paranoia out there. Millions of people will be scrambling at the last
minute to avoid the falling sky. IOM needs to be what people ask for.
They should market IOM Y2K survival packages:
Zip250 drive, 10pack of media, copy of Norton Rescue and a information
package on how to backup their system.
They should also have a Jaz package for superusers or people who think
they are super.

They can show some poor clod with stacks of floppies all over.
Tag line: "This is not protecting your stuff for the year 2000"
Then show a well organized grandmother in a bomb shelter surrounded by bottled water and canned food, holding one Jaz disk.
Tag line: "Protect your stuff"

If they do this right they should jam out tens of millions of these.

Fear and Greed move the market.
Capitalize on the public fear and cash in big time.
Only 300 days left !!! Ca-ching !
