From march 3rd Daily Lariat at 1wrestling.com: >>Well, as the ratings showed yesterday, all of the "bad publicity" that the WWF got last week was anything but that. In fact, as the WWF thought, it actually helped their programming. The reports said they would see violence, cursing, and sex, and that is what the new viewers tuned into see. And you can bet at least some of them will be back next week. Eric Bischoff told his guys on Monday that advertisers would be leery of advertising with the WWF because of the publicity. Hey, a 6.4 is a 6.4, and to get their message out to an audience that large, they will turn the other way when the show airs. Some may be turned off, but there will most probably be many people to take their places. There are rumors going around that the WWF would like to have a little T and A at WrestleMania. There's a shocker! Will it happen? Well, if it does, the WWF has made their direction clear and no one can really complain after all of the pub they have just gotten recently. WWF business remains as hot as ever. Live event business last week was huge. See the chart below. GROSS GATE PAID FANS 2/26 Washington, DC $436,212 17,932 2/27 Boston, MA $348,791 17,428 2/28 Dayton, OH $206,100 9,721 3/1 Cleveland, OH $364,153 16,566 3/2 Pittsburgh, PA $296,555 13,497<< Future Publicity: >>Look for ESPN to have that 1 hour show on Wrestling in about another month. They will be interviewing Bruno Sammartino within the next two weeks. They are going to talk about alot of the wrestlers not having health insurance, drug abuse, alot of things that go on behind the scenes..<< Also: >>On the cover of TV Guide's March 22nd issue will be once again be four separate covers. Stone Cold, The Rock, Mankind and Sable.<< The question is, how long will this last? Andrew
