I'll bet I've seen 15 in the last two weeks in my regular change. This would be in both NYC and Tampa Bay area.

P.S. Every single one has been Delaware.

<<I got one (with the Delaware design) in my change at a Burger King about a month ago. I had completely forgotten that the first five (or is it ten ?) of these designs were coming out this year. Since then -- nada. (And, I think I have looked carefully at every quarter that has passed through my (not greedy) hands).>>

Here's the answer to the mystery. Delaware was the first state quarter issued and it wasn't too long ago. The mint will be issuing one *new* state quarter every 4 or 8 or 10 weeks or something like that. Bank tellers tend to hold back the special quarters for those who ask; consequently the number in general circulation is small right now. But you can always get them by asking. ...Tim
