Tom.....to your knowledge....has anyone compared this strategy (for a rapidly
rising stock, when one has sold CC's)compared to the sideshow strategy.... to the
strategy of buying, not selling, a call upstrike from the CC strike price, (to protect
the upside)


Nate, I'm not aware and I've certainly not done the analysis.

Personaly, this is not my strategy of choice. It's just another of the techniques available.... and in this case, specific to avoiding getting called out. For the person with capital gains concerns, buying the call won't stop the exercise.
