Steve: Good post. I received a call of inquiry yesterday from a party in Calgary that invests in Abacan asking if I'd heard the "rumors" about a buyout of Abacan at between 50 and 70 cents US. He indicated three companies were taking a serious look at buying Abacan. I have no idea whether this party had valid information or was who he said he was. He sounded credible but I think your statement about both negative and positive rumors abounding re: Abacan is entirely accurate. In any case, the party calling me indicated that he thought the annual meeting had been scheduled a little later due to some negotiations with these suitors. Who knows??? Frustrating days for E&P investors. Paul L. Craig
