Well 20 to 80 is a quadrulple of your original money so I see her point, but as I just said four or five years????
What will DELL do in 4 or 5 years? Or AOL???

>>Well, guess we'll have to send Maria B. and the CNBC crowd to remedial math--she kept teasing that Barron's would feature a tech stetc<<

The only reason why I ever watch CNBC is to look at Maria. She says many things which is just plain bullshit but who cares as she is hot. Do you ever watch all those guys trying to bang her in the morning as they walk by her when she is doing the preopening report from the floor of the stock exchange?? I guess bumping her is how they get their thrills for the day.

Stocks for the long haul, Dell ,Microsoft, Csco

Novel what the hell is that???

<<However, it reads, "the most ardent fans" say it will go from 20 to
80 "in the next five years." That ain't no quadruple, and five years
is a long time in "tech years." :))[80-20=60/20=300%]>>

Not only is your math wrong, your grammar stinks too!

I own a stock at $20. It doubles, or goes up 100%
I own a stock at $20. It triples, or goes up 200%
I own a stock at $20. It Quadruples, or goes up 300%
I own a stock at $20. It quintuples, or goes up 400%

Ok-- Time to stop this!

Now I bought NOVL around $7 in Dec97

If it goes to $80 by Dec2004, that's over an 11-bagger and 1100% gain in 7 years.. Not as fast as AMZN and YHOO types moves, even DELL in the past 3 years. BUT, I'll take it!! In fact, any fund manager would drool over that type of gain!!
