>>No mention of IFM in the piece
The article is an interesting article noting that MSFT is shaking up the e-com industry. No mention of IFM but you have to read between the lines sometimes to see what affect it has, in this case IFM.
IFM software is in MSFT BackOffice , and so is Newstar, which IFM purchased last AUG. Newstar partner with Transpoint(MSFT/FDC/CITI) selected by e-route, Canadian banking consortium for bill presentment. So in this way it is good for IFM.
Sterling Com is the big competitor (approx 5X rev to IFM or maybe its 2X this years projected 150M rev- I will have to go back and review this). Now isn't it just too bad if MSFT is having some affect on their stock price!
MSFT is shaking up the e-bill or putting some fear into the likes of CKFR, possibly their recent legal battle with Intuit may slow them down a bit allowing Transpoint to get a better foothold in the e-bill sector, if so, could be benificial to IFM as they do acquisitions in the US- if this is the sector they are persuing. Note a previous post with BCE/MCI alliance which is an alternative route to the US market without acquistions. Either way IFM will grow! Keep an eye on BCE in general how they are going national and driving towards the US, ie NEXXIA.
