(Nasdaq: ACTC) today announced that its Communications Infrastructure Division has been awarded a contract valued at approximately $6.1 million by the State of Utah. Under the terms of this contract, Applied Cellular will provide infrastructure construction and improvements for the 10 buildings that will be used to house the Olympic athletes at the University of Utah. The scope of services includes the construction of all the voice and data cabling, power, lighting, security and fire alarm systems as well as the upgrading of the buildings' existing cabling, switches and transformers.
