Tony, That article you presented is gives me some more optimism. I think that the tech sector(PCs at least) is being held back by this Intel warning possibility.
Intel is positive in any public statement they make as seen in that CNBC aftermarket report yesterday. However, this feeling that is created maybe by the "shorts" does not seem to go away.
Does anyone have any other source for the rumor that---Intel is asking customers if they plan to cancel orders and to let them know within 5 days?
If that rumor is true and there are no cancellations---so what? Does it mean they warn anyways? Just can't shake this fear that march sales may not be enough to offset January weakness. My bet is that they won't preannounce but I don't have the confidence yet.

I think the whole tech sector may be held back relative to the DOW until this fear subsides. If we hear nothing next week, lookout for these stocks to fly.
Just my opinion. Would appreciate if people have any more access to news articles like the one you posted.
