Founded in 1983 in Provo, Novell was a pioneer in creating systems that allowed computers to talk to one another. But Novell tried to slug it out with Microsoft and nearly got knocked clean out of the fight.

I think Apollo Creed said it best in Rocky I: "AIN'T 'GONNA BE NO REMATCH!!!

:o)

Toy, re Novell: As I just posted on the G&K board, you can count on Novell's management finding a way to screw things up!

Two and a half times the growth rate ...

is a little pricey for a vacuum tube company like MSFT.

The majority of analysts haven't figured it out yet though. Some will never figure it out.

One sure play on the cheap chip craze is AMAT. Not cheap but I don't know if AMD, IDTI or Intel will thrive. Hard to bet against INTC. But AMAT wins regardless.

Free operating systems ... free browsers ... cheap chips ... $80 office suites ... Slate is free ... Hotmail is free ... bottomdollar.com ... shopping.com ... buy.com ... stuff below cost ... life is good.

The DOJ might even eliminate the MSFT tax on PC sales.

Does MSFT have anything left they can CHARGE for?

Just wondering ... hmmmmmmmmmmmm.

I don't hate MSFT or Bill. And I only hate Windows because it is such a poor excuse for an OS.

Why do I continue to watch UNPH go up? My neck hurts.
