Robert, @Home figures show that they have at most 2.5 million subscribers. Cable TV is not in many homes whereas telephones are everywhere. So I am not sure if AOL is approaching the cable deal very aggressively in that they will lay money down to buy a company such as @Home. Instead, they would rather lobby DC to open up the cable and broadband access, thereby giving them access to the service on a selective and as-needed basis.

However, I am not concerned that the AOL stock has slipped into dormancy. A week or two prior to the last split, it slipped into the 140's pre-split, then shot back up to the 160's rather quickly and then split and held steady thereafter. This to me is a positive indication since it points to the confidence that investors have in this stock.

Happy AOLing.
