Coby, What I find refreshing is that the Japanese admit that they once had shoddy products. The old Isuzu ads were my favorite, where the 1920s style car falls apart. <g>

You and I are old enough to remember when "Made in Japan" meant it was junky and cheap

In Asia, "Made in Japan" means top quality. Japanese products can sell at a premium. A couple of weeks ago, I went out with a Asian friend who wants to buy a DVD. We checked Sony, Panasonic, etc, and he wanted to make sure they are made in Japan, not in some other countries.
