Did you get past the first paragraph and go to the URL that I placed for your help? As I said, it will be well worth your time and effort. Then perhaps we will have a starting point. I just re-read a couple places in the Bible where REPHAIM are mentioned: Gen 14:5 DEUT 2:10-11 :20-23 3:11....a nine cubit bed must be around 13 to 17 ft. Of course it can be translated. What you've been brainwashed to spout is just drivel invented by "tzaddiks" who want to ensure a constant flow of cash and students to their academies. Of course, while their mishpuchah are getting their heads blown off in Lebanon, they're sitting comfortably pondering the meaning of why this letter was used, and not that letter. I wish one of the "lofty spiritual lessons" conveyed was that you don't send your brother off to die while you claim an exemption and stipend that lets you live, peyot untouched, like a yellow coward. From which phrase can we derive that learning? Makes me sick.
