Yes, the market is in a trading range and the choppiness remains stable. You asked for clues about the bank and financial stocks, that's what my post addressed.

There are many uses for bonds, or in other words, different buyers. Other countries move their money into US bonds. For instance, the Germans are big on bonds, much more so than stocks. Bonds are also used for defensive positions which accounts for some of their cyclical nature. There is also spread traders that influence short term bond pricing.
