Kris,
I got the info about the mutual funds from someone who knows about the rules applying to mutual funds in the U.S. I will look into this further to make sure this person is right. With Bidn's low volume I still have to wonder as to whether daytraders are holding this stock to see where it goes. I unfortunately did not get in at a low enough price, so I am hesitant to buy it higher before I know anything about the company. I did read somewhere that they just applied for a Nasdaq listing, but I can't find any info to confirm it. If you do, let me know. Otherwise, I would assume that Bid.com will beat them to the punch.
As far as the share float Bid.com has, there are some other stocks, such as Prodigy with shares in the 50 million and that stock is in the 30's now and had a run up to $50. Although, I'm sure some big institutionals were in on that when it was an IPO a few weeks back. Plus, come to think of it, IBM and Sears has about a 8% interest in Prodigy also. That would probably explain why Prodigy is at that range. Who knows what will happen to Bid.com. Unless they get some heavy weights behind them, I suppose it will be hard for their stock to move. I do think that if they land on a BBOTC board, they will definitely have a hard time. I agree with everything you said about those stocks.
Thanks and have a great day.
