Susan, It is amazing how we research and find the same stocks, even when it is a dogpile. I too use GNET (go2net) for most of what I can do on the internet. I once wrote a post on our old board long ago that said using GNET to do research while owning it, was like getting paid to do your homework (again the Tom Sawyer in me). Time is money, in life and on the internet.
The more hits then the more page views, which brings in advertising dollars, which makes your stock worth more money. You are 100% right Susan, use GNET as much as possible and when ever you can. Post and use SI when ever you can, it is like getting paid to talk to friends, the more hits SI has, the more GNET is worth. This is a thing of beauty.
RE: Search engines. Is CPQ a screaming buy or what? If you go down the list of tech internet hot sites.
1. AOL
2. YHOO
3. MSFT
4. CPQ/ALTA VISTA
The media has most people thinking AOL, YHOO, EBAY, etc when they think internet but not MSFT or CPQ as internet plays. To me CPQ is a total no-brainer internet play. Eckard already said CPQ plans to spin off Alta Vista didn't he? So let me see if I have this right, I can buy a major computer company and an a top rated search engine for thirty something bucks? Let me think about this for a while. Okay, long enough, I'm done thinking. 909 BLUE (Disclaimer CPQ is a long term hold in the real Techride portfolio)

Susan, Joan, others gifted in the art of research. Why don't we put together a list of stocks we are looking at. I got this idea from the split list I put out, James and Jim both added good stocks to the list.
I'll go first but first Joan you have to promise you will not post the TYPE II we have been talking about. That stock is a sure double 909er if things go the way I plan but I don't want to buy it yet. I want to wait till it moves up or the market ends this part of the run and I have plenty of profits to play with but, I want that big fat 909er for finding that one. So mums the word Joanie, zip and lock, icksnay on the YPE II TAY.
As far as ISPs go I've been looking at ESPI and EXDS. In the growing LAN access area DGII and NWCM along with some others. I don't own these stocks, I'm just looking at them at this time. Any comments on these stocks?
Last week I was e-mailing Joan a post like this on DCLK, CNET and the Icksnay stock (except my mind was made up to buy them). It will be more fun like this if we share ideas here on Techride and not e-mail. We all will profit from other's ideas. As the more you think, the more green ink.
Who is next? Who are you looking at? BLUE
