Avoid BBY and AMZN? I don't understand.

You posted:
BBY listed as one of the "stocks to avoid" along with Amzon.com (and others) by L Roy Papp in Worth Magazine (March '99):

Amazon.com (AMZN recent price 106, fair value:$30)
Best Buy (BBY, recent price $82, fair value:$45)

Avoid BBY because "The Internet is a serious threat to traditional retailers."

And avoid AMZN because internet retailers still don't get enough page hits from enough people to turn a profit. (?) How does this all make sense?

Go with what works. "Fair value" is like beauty - just one person's opinion.

If you really studied success records, you'd see what to avoid. I'd avoid Worth Magazine.
