I expect to see the stock dive a bit at that time.
10% correction just before the announcement might make the options worthwhile even if the premium is high. All depends on how low the stock goes before a verdict (if it goes down at all). If it does not drop prior to verdict, I probably won't bother.

By the way, in my previous post about implied volatiliy prior to stock. If the general movement is up prior to a split--i would think the options should get more expensive leading into the split date. Just seems common sense to me---although like I said, I don't know the pricing mechanics.

Anyone know where I can get a crash course on options pricing? I am talking about a couple of hours of reading at most (basic knowledge about pricing is what i am after).
