<<U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission Chairman Arthur
Levitt was asked at a town hall forum in Miami to rate U.S.
corporate preparedness to deal with the year 2000 computer bug.

On a scale of one to 10, with one being excellent and 10 representing ''head for the hills,'' Levitt
said, ''I'd pick one. I really think we're in very good shape.''>>

Rumor has it that Levitt has been stockpiling fresh water and canned goods at a secret location.

Dear Capt Jack: HMMMM........wonder why I have read so many articles about GOVT locations at TAXPAYER expense have been preparing their little NESTS to last up to 2 YEARS with food and water. Think we should send this SEC commissioners statement to 60 MINUTES along with the Govt info about storage and let THEM do an EXPOSE. For myself, think I believe John Jenkins more than this fellow.
