Speaking of earnings, what were Ebay's again? Oh, that's right, it doesn't matter. How silly of me. I temporarily forgot that: Ebay is the future. Ebay is the way. Today, the chairman of the Securities and Exchange Commission said: ''With growth in on-line investing, more and more people, I fear, are entering the market with unrealistic expectations,'' he said. ''That is absolutely a prescription for disaster.'' You would do well to heed those words.
