I think your missing the boat here Francois, diamond prices are currently rising, DFI recently sold 4,000 plus carats and achieved
a price of 164US per carat. The trend is evident in Namidian Minerals
as recent price retrieveables, the Japanese have started to re-enter the market place for large stones. Tiffanies has had record diamond sales diamond sales, the Wall Street boys have large bonuses, and
Diamond Sales are described as stellar. DeBeers put the spiget on rough entering the market place, reduced inventory, Russian oversupply is dwindling. The recent knuckling under of BHP to sell 35% of their rough thru the CSO and recent sales agreements with
Alrosa contain any future downtrends in prices. The marketing strategy of DeBeers and the year 2000 celebrations will ramp up demand in the months to come. But hey dont take my word for it,
the market agrees, it is validated in the Crown Jewel picks.
Good luck with the paper pushers like Bishop and Kaiser, say when is
Kaisers 4 pack theory going to validate his writings.?
Sincerely
George J. Tromp
