Funny, I was just over on the MB thread, try to get his "loftiness" to back up his spouting off about MD's stock sales with figures. He has danced through several replies with nary a figure to support his musings. This of course is nothing new for MB, but it sure got folks on that thread riled up trying to defend him. Nothing but silence from his "holiness" though. BTW they even accused us of "kicking" poor MB off of the Dell thread. An interesting bunch of doomsayers over there, predicting the end of the world next week, or surely the week after AND POSITIVELY NEXT MONTH AT THE LATEST! Sheesh Norton, where do these guys come from???!!

Thanks for the kind words John. Now contrast Burke to Jock Hutchinson. Jock started with a negative attitude towards Dell but when he saw the data he quickly changed his mind because the data clearly indicated that he was incorrect. I admire that kind of open-mindedness, because it is all too easy to maintain a stubborn mind set and seek to rationalize your conclusion rather than dispassionately analyze the data. I hope he continues to contribute his ideas and objections to the thread.

CTC

John,

Back from a very busy week at work I see that a lot of interesting developments have taken place: DELL's online store is now open, the IBM deal has been announced, US economy seems to on the right track and the international PC market looks robust too. A lot of information to process. Some 3000 posts on this thread alone. BTW, The Economist has published some interesting articles about deflation in the last two issues.

Hope you and others on the thread are doing well!

-BGR.

John-- you say

<Nonetheless, debate is healthy>

That is debatable.
