Re letter from 14 senators to President on 3rd gen.

Looking for common thread among "bipartisan" senators, seems that it is that the most common wireless technology in their states is TDMA - with perhaps a little GSM thrown in. (And just possibly the source of some campaign contributions are from TDMA companies - naw that couldn't be ;-)) Did anyone else get the same impression? Also the release posted was issued by TDMA group, no? (Some GSM too?) Seems like point is that this group of senators want to keep open the opportunity for TDMA at the 3rd gen conference, and have limited or no interest in CDMA now or in the future. Comments? Chaz
