Vitas....i believe that your question to me is whether or not i can see a particular ewave series in the mc osc. well, i don't think that ewave is particularly relevant to the movements in the oscillator. the oscillator does what it is supposed to do..it oscillates within a particular range, so it is perpetually stuck within that range. the waves in an index are directly related to waves in the past, ie waves from say 1994 to 1997 have a direct relationship to waves that occurred from 1982 thru 1987...oh boy, hope i didn't start something there using those dates! i think my point is this....the waves occurring in the last six months within the mc osc. do not appear to have a direct relationship with those that occurred in say 1997....they are seperate entities of their own so i would guess that the mc osc. waves that occurred in 1957 were related to the pricing action at that time and reflected the sentiment of the market during that period now this is not to say that if you observe a similar mc osc wave action NOW that it is totally irrelevant to the 1957 action if the underlying sentiment,econ situation, rates, growth model,etc.etc are similar then perhaps the mc osc wave action will repeat itself i wholeheartedly agree with you that there is definately an valid comparison between mc osc and other mc indicators at previous market tops and what we are seeing recently but i don't know if you can correlate them....perhaps they are indeed a harbinger of what is to come so i guess i am as useless as the teats on this aging bull but i do smell really bad if that is of any consolation foul odors
