David.....assume for a minute that it is a double or triple ziggy just assume...are you assuming yet?...how bout now? now don't think of it as a corrective, think of it as an impulse! an impulse????? HE'S STINKIN NUTZ AGAIN.....big 5 wave ending diagonal starting 97?.......how fitting an end to a great multiyear bull market.....increased volatilty for a prolonged period of time overlaps on a big scale....huge swings in both directions....all hell breaking out with scurrying from one sector to another......bulls and bears duking it out....money still pouring in...dogs and cats living together...utter chaos big guys don't have to be in a corrective during this last move for one: check out INTC over the last few years on a chart.......big wave 3 up to late 97 then what looks like wave 4 extending thru 1998 you'll see it, looks like a big triangle wave 4.....measure the total price swing within that triangle...add it to the top of the triangle.. somewhere around 105 if i remember correctly, put the total of that price range during the triangle added to the 105ish and you get a nice wave 5 up to around 140.....then what happened? so if the market where to be in a big ending diagonal, we get a stiff down from here, then another move up...during which time INTC does a great B wave or wave 2 move up and then ??? follow me?? check it out...there are other biggies out there doing the same thing or a variation this doesn't mean we crash now....but if you can figure out the possible diagonal?? and you know what tricky suckers they are....but if you can figure out when wave 3 of the diagonal is done then you will know the max target for wave 5, since it can not exceed wave 3 we will not know the answers here for a few quarters.....but, as always, you know me...looking for the alternatives so when something weird is happening, something that just STINKS and has us scratching our heads...then i can say AH-HA! i know what this is (maybe) smelly
