Brumell Goes long
Good general summary of what has gone on to this point.
As EC has pointed out, news will get out good or bad and we will have a good idea by mid week. I agree better to be long at this point.

Good post Bob. The geology is still very much a mystery but there are significant hints as to why one should own NWI at this point. I believe the large intercepts (102m)of sub economic but significant (.3-.5%)core near hole 99-1 indicate a large amount of sulphide was "blown" or carried into the host rock; similar to the results that NDT obtained around Nain to the east of VB (but NWI has larger intercepts which is even better). So one can argue that whatever caused the VB deposit left a surrounding signature similar to that which is being discovered by NWI. I am NOT saying this is another VB but there is a hint that the deposit could be VERY significant. Another comparison is the lack of good intercepts of decent but sub economic core in the south VB by Donner; they just found a small anomaly because the "blow off" was not large enough in the area to allow a significant deposit to occur. At Hawk Ridge, the best intersection was only 6.5m of 1.85%Ni, so the NWI deposit far exceeds the Hawk Ridge potential;again, no 100m intercepts of .3-.5%Ni were found indicating small localized deposits. So, I believe the "100m signature" found by NWI is very signicant as to what the size of the deposit may turn out to be. Of course, Dr. drill will be the final judge, but there is a good probability of a significant find here.It would be informative if One King(Steve)or Terry could provide us with some "near missed" drill core grades and intercepts around VB and Raglan. I am willing to bet my money that there are significant similarities there as compared to NWI. Gary.

Interesting post, I have scanned the detailed geology map and posted it on my site (use the Lac Rocher link on the home page). Poor quality but you can see the granite that you refer to takes up most of the mapped area.

To seem somewhat correct, erroneous Charters has wondered off on a VMS discussion. It has nothing to do with this discussion. Gary could have just as easily spun on about numerical modelling, with abundant detail, and plenty of correct info.

I have posted numerous deposit models on my site for general info and discussion:

www3.ns.sympatico.ca

evidently a picture is work 10-20 thousand rambling words:-)

Note the mineralization in the VMS model (Sphalerite.... because they are ZINC deposits), and that which dominates at NWI, Sudbury, Voisey. Clearly we are talking about two separate entities which makes the endless VMS model discussion and review of the nature channel entertaining, but no more pertinent!

The DML/Falco/Noranda news should add another level of support here before any real drilling news. I suspect we will hear lots of rumors early at the PDA.
