Larry, thanks for posting the Barron's index. <<"budget surplus that isn't">> Do you really expect truth in government? <VBG>

Larry, guess I didn't feel the "debt surplus that isn't" storyline invoked much of a response in me. Judging by your observation that no-one commented is a comment in and of itself I guess.

You raising the point about lack of responses primarily was a reality check for me, an American citizen with total LACK of faith in our government, the leadership at the top of EITHER party, let alone the splinter ones. Futhermore, I confess I don't expect ANY truth to flow from that fountain of statistical manipulation.

There is no budget surplus.
This is no sanity in government.
There is no faith in our fiat.
There is no reason to continue to bemoan it, or to try to change it.

If ever I was glad to live in the land of the free and the home of the fooled, I would guess it is now. Why? Simply because we are a spoiled on the idea of freedom over here, and that is now translating into disconnection from the system and the system's operators. Survivalism 101 has long been the mantra of the "below poverty line" citizens here. Now I believe the middle-class has finally bit the dust. Can the great equalizer, called Y2K be far behind?

Sad sad sad....

FWIW, I read your post #9 on this thread several days back and thought it was one of the finer pieces of postings to grace SI. Forgot to say thanks, so I'm fixing it now.

Thanks.

Well, hello, Larry S. You wouldn't be purposefully rude to me, i.e., employing some behavior mod technique on me by your ignoring legit responses to your e*mail commentary stating no one had bothered to comment on your post re: the falsity of budget surpluses.... It is a public display of rudeness to disallovow my perfectly legit respons to you on this thread when you ask for direct responses from "anyone?" Are you ageist? Sexist? Theist? Bigot? Set in your ways? Or, just plain rude?

Did the GPM thread mommy implore you to ignore me and maybe I'd go away?

This is my third post...you want to try for rude 3 times in a row?
This could get interesting...
