<<TLC, my hearing is going, too - tinnitus reigns. >>

Is that the phone, nope, just my head ringing.

The other day I was using a thing that had a high pitched beep that tells you when to move to the next step. Used it before and know the beep well. Yesterday I don't hear the beep and think I need to change the batteries. Wife, three rooms away, asked what the loud beeping was.

Maybe a little too much shooting back when hearing protection didn't exist.

Tinnitus, or so I have read, can be excruciating. I hope you don't have it severely!
I have something bizarre. I don't think anyone else has it. SOmetimes I hear an orchestra playing or a choir singing. IN the middle of the night. Just beyond my ability to tell what they're playing or singing. A lot of times it seems to come from the AC or heater overhead, but not always. (The DAllas Symphony rehearses in my attic?) SOmetimes I just lay there and hum along. No one else hears it. Occasionally I hear it in the daytime, when things are quiet.
It's not unpleasant, more tantalizing. I keep wondering if maybe the spirit of Mozart is trying to communicate with me from beyond and if I could hear him, I could write it down and then it wouldn't matter that I own CYTO and PTEC and TAVA.
