Should they license disks production instead of just the drives?

I don't know, because I don't have access to as much information about this issue as Iomega management does. Don't make the assumption that they haven't considered this carefully. Don't assume that they aren't still considering it.

You are correct to ask this question now, as the time has never been better for such a move. I came down hard on the side of licensing the disks over a year ago, and still believe it is the way to go. I don't think IOM can survive without it. Unlike a year ago, their stock price has little to lose if they did this.

So I hope the boys from Roy get a clue sooner rather than later. I also believe they should bite the bullet and license the 250 disks and drives too. I doubt they'd find many takers for Jaz 1 or 2 though.
