" Did you have to format your hard drive to re install Win95?
Is there any (easy) way to remove Win98 and reinstall Win95"

Hmm. If you had installed Windows 98 as an upgrade to Windows 95, you can uninstall 98 from the Control Panel (assuming you had saved the Windows 95 system files). Caveat: The system will revert itself to when the upgrade to 98 was installed. Any applications installed after that might not work.

If you have a regular install of Windows 98 set-up, you can remove the Windows directory, as well as the Program Files directory and kill all the boot files and hidden files in the root directory. You'll still have to re-install all of your applications. Saves time to just format the drive and install from scratch if you have all of your application diskettes with you and your data backed up elsewhere.
