Check out www.efax.com for your free fax phone number.When someone sends you a fax, it gets converted to a gif and emailed to you. So if your in a hotel room no more $3 per page. If you don't have a fax, you don't need to get one, cause this works jsut a well and it's free; no phone line and no machine! Company valued around $70 M. 411 and hotmail were each bought by Yahoo and MSFT for around $400 M respectively. A lot of good news comming out of that company.... Hope this helps.
