There just isn't the liquidity to push the broad market significantly higher. We are in a sideways pattern because the market is the place to be, but as the first quarter results start to flow, a backlash will bash the indexes down for a while.

Glad you put that low PE smokestack in quotes ... I've never been into TA for the most part but have got interested in the use of fractals -- going to do some tinkering as soon as I get time. Things a lot more pressing than the market as of late ... I might be getting a "real" job soon -- hopefully it is bust-proof, because I'm certain the bust is coming and that it is going to be severe ... Thanks for your post ... I'll be shocked if the NDX or Nasdaq makes new highs from here.
