Earlie,

I think the Chinese, et. al. have found a way out of their economic "slowdown"....

China's SINA and Internet Technologies China (ITC), which own popular Chinese-language portals, are believed to be keen on listing their shares in the United States.

Earlie,

The retail inventory appears to validate negative pc revenue growth.
It's hard to imagine that CPQ and IBM are turning inventory faster than price discounts.

It doesn't even appear that absolute number of computers sold is increasing. But I have no knowledge of unit sales numbers, only of plentiful supply and that customers don't seem frantic to buy. This is no Beanie Baby or Furby market.

Earlie and SAF, How dare big old E-Machines pick on wee companies like Compaq, IBM and Dell? <g> Definitely the fastest growing computer co. now. And everyone I know who has an E-Machine's box, swears by it.
