duke, re cable...my dad has internet via RoadRunner... it is very very fast. when people like myself (on phone lines) get on cable we will start to do the math & realize we should make the switch. when people buy computers at stores the salespeople will tell them -- "go the cable route". AOL mngt is too smart. they know they must have cable option soon. i don't know when but i am guessing the announcement will accelerate stock price increase. every cable co should be on their knees also...imho it is too risky for aol to sit and pray that govt will order other companies to "help aol out & provide them with access"
