MB,

If you had this PR disaster on your hands wouldn't you lay low.

Movement to halt Pentium III grows
news.com

I didn't see an ad for a PIII box or a Celeron box. I have no idea why this is so and can't remember a new product fading from the flyers that soon after introduction.

Regards,
Nick

Mike

In the CompUSA insert in the LA Times, first page is a 333 Cyrix with monitor and color printer for $800 after a $170 rebate. There's a HP Celery 400 for $1100 and a NEC PII 400 for $1300, both with no monitor and no printer. There is a Compaq K6-2/400 for $1000 after $200 price break with no monitor and no printer. There are 2 PIII, a NEC 450 for $1450 after a $50 rebate and a IBM 500 for $2300, both with no monitor and no printer. Why does INTC think that anyone would be willing to pay such huge premiums for "Intel Inside" ?
