Lockeon: 1.3 billion people in China. If every Chinese in China has a headache just one a year, and take just two Tylenol, just imagine that we wipe out trade deficit.

We need shades. The future of Dell is just so bright.

China- Dell is growing 50% a month,target $1 Billion in 3 years.

Lockeon-
Excellent find now get ready to watch the fireworks starting possibly Monday, this mother is going to fly like a bat out of hell I am telling ya.

Consider also this,Dell only has 1 point some per cent of the market in China now, talk about possibilities.

As for how well the Dell-model will work in China, well not all that well initially but things are improving fast, only recently UPS signed a deal with a Chinese partner and they are going into China big time, will soon serve over 100 cities (I think) in various provinces of China. Also note China just reduced the internet access fees and the telephone rates,PC sales are booming, internet connections are growing like gang-busters.

The main thrust areas of the recently announced budget in China are:

1)Stimulation of consumer spending.
The government has already given instructions to the banks to be generous when it comes to individual loan approvals.

2)Government spending at the expense of a small deficit,Keynesian in nature, with the projected deficit is well below the accepted norms.

Dell is going to kick-ass I am telling ya and the show has already started with a whopping 50% of sales growth per month. Also note Q4 was quite profitable for Dell in China, the news becomes more important considering Dell's plant only went on line in Aug of Sept of 1998.Now the thing is if the very first quarter of operation can be profitable think what is coming down the pike.It is going to be huge I am telling ya,now we got IBM products behind us too and don't forget that.
