Good afternoon Peter,

Just picked up a 1967 firebird so I;ve been out in the front playing... as to your note, I use a classic version of George Lane's formulation of Stochastics. It involves 2 components. The SK is typically a 3 Day Moving average of the Stochastic as per Lane's 21 Day formula. SK is again averaged over the same number of days to obtain a double smoothed average ratio called SD. AIQ has set the default for the SK-SD to a 10 day period so that it works better with stocks but I have refined it to a 6 day period to get a little quicker response out of it. The simplest interpretation of the SK-SD is that price tends to reverse when the value of SK diverges with Price. I look for the SK to move up and thru the SD (second average) to help confirm a buy signal. These signals are enhanced if the SD has already made the turn in the direction of the signal.
The Price Phase Oscillator (PHASE) is used by AIQ to filter AIQ Expert Rating Signals. You wouldn't have this unless you use AIQ. Basically, when a signal is generated by AIQ the Price Phase indicator will either confirm or deny a signal. AIQ Expert Signals are normally early so it is always good to confirm a signal with PHASE to be sure it's moving in the right direction. AIQ always says to wait on a trade it the Phase has not yet turned ( up or down, short or long)

Hope this helps, any other questions, just ask,

Ken Carter (SKU)

Peter,

I am looking at ORCL because it fell out of bed. Chart is early for a buy in but the big guys (ie: GSCO) seem to be feasting at this price. Got any ideas to justify a TA buy other then historic support. It seems one after another of the big weaker TECHS are falling out of bed. We are starting to retrace the NAZ in these stks and it appears that we are in for a correction. MY Momentum Indicator on the NAZ is flashing and that would foreshadow trouble. And are we tracing out a double top on the $COMPX that is reflected by the COMS and ORCL's of the world tanking. To me this is key.

Certainly the NAZ is way over due for a correction.
