Peter,

I don't know about other TNT brokers. Luanne's "incredible experience" with two account numbers was caused by the fact that she opened two accounts at MBT. Nothing mysterious about it.

As for TNT regulating everything that goes on in their branches, that would obviously be ideal. Considering the frenzied growth of internet trading, the fact that occasional mistakes slip through is no surprise.

I agree MBT is a good broker. They have worked harder at upgrading and working out glitches than other brokers IMO. I see in the past few weeks JPR, Watley and Cybertrader have had plenty of problems with data feeds, order server outages, phone delays, accounting problems, etc. It is a sure thing that all of these brokers will continue to face challenges and growing pains in the months ahead. The outage at Nasdaq on Friday is a sure sign of things to come. I guess the trick is to be patient, be careful and work with the best broker you can find.
